About Gauri

Hi! I am a Year 10 student who genuinely enjoys Math and is confident in breaking it down in a way that actually makes sense. Since I've recently learned the same topics myself, I know where students get stuck, and I also know how to explain things in a clearer, simpler way than textbooks often do. In my sessions, I aim on keeping things positive, structured, and easy to follow. I also try to make Math less stressful and more approachable, especially for students who might have lost confidence in it. Overall, my goal is simple: help students improve their skills, gain confidence, and grow in their learning journey.

EXPERIENCE :

I know what actually works for school assessments because I am currently doing them at a high level. My results include 48/50 in English, 47/50 in Economics, 76/80 in Physics, 54/60 in Biology, 37/40 in Chemistry, 42/46 in French, and 43/50 in Mathematical Methods.

My tutoring is best for students who need help with:

English: essay structure, analytical writing, quote analysis, planning, drafting and improving paragraphs.
Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics concepts, practical reports, research investigations and exam revision.
Economics: definitions, short-response structure, data analysis, extended responses and exam preparation.
French: vocabulary, grammar, speaking practice and sentence correction.
Maths: Year 7–10 maths support, homework help and exam revision.

My lessons are clear, structured and practical. I focus on what the student actually needs to improve, not vague study advice. I can help students break down confusing topics, fix weak answers, prepare for tests and build better study systems.

I am especially helpful for students who feel overwhelmed, leave study too late, or don’t know how to turn teacher feedback into better marks.

About the lesson

Hi, my name is Gauri and I am a year 10 student based in Brisbane who specializes in teaching Mathematics. I help younger students build strong foundations, improve confidence, and form a full and deep comprehension of what they're actually learning. I teach Math by breaking down complex problems into simple, step-by-step parts that students can easily follow. While I do not have formal tutoring qualifications yet, I am a high-performing Year 10 student who has a strong understanding of primary and early high school Math content. I have worked in tutoring centre: Kumon Indooroopilly which has enhanced my teaching abilities. I’m confident in my ability to teach Math, as it is my strongest subject and I find myself consistently performing well in it. I aim my lessons towards primary students (Prep - Year 6) who need support with mathematical concepts or even just homework. Thank you!
