About Ava
I am a very serious ballet dancer at GISD studios in glen iris. I leave school at lunchtime on Mondays and Wednesday to dance, and I still keep up with my work and get consistently good grades. I dance more than 27 hours in a week, take private lessons and help teach some classes of students 7-10 years in age.

My teaching method for educational studies includes practice testing and self-explanation. It is the opposite of ROTE learning as I feel as if that is infective and will cause the student to only remember specific answers and not be able to apply their learning in situations and questions that havent been specifically practised. Practice tests should be done often and will, therefore, get the student to retain information. Self-explanation is a method involves the participant explaining and recording how they reached an answer or conclusion.
