Depending on the level of the student I prefer to start from absolute basics, so starting at the alphabet (hiragana and Katakana) and basic words and phrases and working up from there.
If the student is learning Japanese in school then I like to assess how much they know, fill in any gaps in their knowledge relevant to their classes and work based on what they are learning in classes.
For students wanting to learn Conversational Japanese for verbal communication or if they are traveling then I like to teach the most relevant phrases, sentences and characters needed to travel through Japan
I am a graphic design student, artist, near fluent in Japanese(been my obsession since I was 10yo), I also love fashion design
