About Woodroffe

I'm an American living in London with a first class degree from the university of Southampton in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. I was the recipient of the highest international student merit scholarship for my high marks in the American version of A-Levels (AP and SATS) which were deemed equivalent to A*A*A or better. I received an SAT score of over 1400, 9 APs, and was educated an an elite preparatory boarding school in the United States. It was there I learned the value of personalized teaching, and passionate teachers. They can make all the difference.

About the lesson

I'm offering the first lesson for free to see if you think I can help, and since I have no online experience.

I'm extremely passionate about learning and about helping others learn. So, my lessons can be as flexible or rigid as desired. I will pinpoint where I see room for improvement, and make the learning as entertaining and personalized as possible. I enjoy taking the time to help someone learn in the way that is best for them.

I can tutor in almost any subject before university level (excluding chemistry, biology, non-English languages, and the arts as I barely studied them). I can also help with improving learning motivation and enjoyment through defining clear goals I'll keep you accountable to, and creating a positive mindset towards learning. I'm so passionate about learning myself but have known what it's like to struggle with motivation when your mindset towards your studies are confused, or have become negative. I will guide you to be more productive, but truly believe in the value of working smarter > just working harder (more time). Learning can and should be enjoyable, if you have the right teacher.

I'm new to tutoring online, but experienced in tutoring younger students in my school and friends. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. If you take the risk in reaching out to me I'm sure I won't let you or you kids down.
