About Harriet
I’m Harriet, a 13-year-old math tutor based in Geelong. I teach Prep–Grade 3 and create a patient, fun space where kids feel comfortable learning. I personalize every lesson to each child’s needs and focus on building confidence with early numeracy skills. My sessions run for 30–45 minutes and are designed to make math simple, calm, and enjoyable for young learners.

I’m Harriet, a 13-year-old math tutor based in Geelong, offering patient, friendly, and personalized support for students from Prep to Grade 3. I create a calm, encouraging learning space where young kids feel comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills, and building confidence with numbers. Because I’m close in age to my students, I genuinely understand how kids think, learn, and feel when they’re struggling or overwhelmed. This helps me explain math in simple, relatable ways that make sense to them and keep them engaged.
During the first week, I spend time getting to know each child, chatting with them, observing how they learn, and understanding their strengths and challenges. This allows me to tailor every lesson to their individual needs. My sessions run for 30 to 45 minutes, keeping learning focused, fun, and manageable for younger students. I teach early numeracy skills including counting, number recognition, addition, subtraction, place value, patterns, and basic problem-solving. I also focus on confidence building, helping kids feel proud of their progress and comfortable making mistakes.
My goal is to make math feel enjoyable rather than stressful, and to help children develop strong foundations they can rely on as they move through school. I currently tutor Geelong-area students only and aim to provide a supportive, positive experience that helps every child feel capable and confident.
