About Suzie
I am 28 years old and I am in my 2nd year of teaching (primary). I graduated at Deakin University in Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Education (with Distinction). I would love to help students develop their Literacy and Numeracy skills and of course, provide support when completing their homework.
I am passionate about teaching and throughout my professional career, I have acquired an extensive amount of experience working with children in Foundation, through to Year 6.

My teaching methodology is to personalise learning and cater to the individual needs of students; for example, this may mean incorporating visual stimuli to benefit kinaesthetic learners.
I have adopted a constructivist approach to teaching, whereby I encourage students to take control of their own learning and be active participants in the learning process; as opposed to passively listening.
I am an advocate for self assessment and self reflection, as I believe these strategies play a major role in a child’s development - personally and academically.
I want my students to be inquires, in the classroom and out in the real world. I acknowledge the importance of curiously, and encourage students to explore that curiosity through asking questions and simultaneously, learning new things.
