About Lara
My name is Lara Prabhu-Desai and I have completed my A Levels examinations in Maths and Further Maths achieving A*(94%) and A*(92%). I would like to be a tutor to increase my students' confidence and skill. I believe that every student is capable of reaching a high standard in Maths through consistent help and practice and tackling those key A* exam questions.

As a Year 13 student who has just completed 4 A Levels this Summer, I understand first-hand how challenging it can be to balance a demanding workload while preparing for exams. I use this to ensure my lessons are tailored to each student, working extensively on exam-style questions to develop confidence, accuracy, and effective exam technique, while revisiting topics over time to ensure long-term retention. Apart from exam practice focus, my second focus is to build each student’s confidence. This will help my students become more independent, leaving each lesson feeling capable, prepared, and motivated to practise further.
