About Nusayeba
Hi! I'm Nusayeba, and I'm a passionate English and Mathematics tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students discover that learning doesn't have to be stressful—it can actually be enjoyable and rewarding.
I'm currently a senior secondary student studying advanced subjects, and I know firsthand what it's like to balance challenging coursework while striving for academic success. Throughout school, I've developed strong study habits, effective revision techniques, and a love for explaining difficult concepts in simple, easy-to-understand ways. One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing a student's confidence grow when something finally "clicks."
Outside of tutoring, I'm someone who loves learning. I'm interested in science, mathematics, literature, and psychology, and I enjoy reading, going to the gym, volunteering in my community, and continually finding new ways to improve myself. These experiences have taught me patience, discipline, and resilience—qualities I bring into every lesson.
I also have experience supporting younger students with their learning, and I believe every child deserves a tutor who is encouraging, understanding, and genuinely invested in their progress. My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, whether they're building strong foundations, preparing for upcoming assessments, or looking to challenge themselves beyond the classroom.
I tutor English and Mathematics for primary school students and students in Years 7–9. My goal isn't just to help students achieve better grades—it's to help them become confident, independent learners who feel capable of tackling new challenges on their own.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence before complexity. I begin by identifying areas where a student may be struggling, then explain concepts in simple, easy-to-understand ways using real-life examples, visual aids, and guided practice. Rather than encouraging memorisation, I help students understand the reasoning behind each concept so they can apply their knowledge independently.
Lessons are interactive and supportive, with students encouraged to ask questions and think critically. I provide worked examples, step-by-step explanations, practice questions, and regular revision to reinforce learning. For English, I help students improve reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, essay writing, and analytical skills. For Mathematics, I cover topics such as number skills, fractions, decimals, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, and problem-solving, adapting lessons to each student's year level.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's needs. Each lesson includes a review of previous content, explicit teaching of new concepts, guided practice, independent application, and feedback to ensure steady progress.
As a tutor, I have experience helping younger students strengthen their academic skills and develop confidence in the classroom.
