About Alex
My name is Alex, and I’m a 16-year-old Year 11 student who is currently excelling in both Advanced Mathematics and Advanced English. I’m passionate about learning and enjoy helping younger students build their skills and confidence in these subjects. As someone who is still in school myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a way that’s easy to follow and relatable. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to making lessons enjoyable and effective. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual’s needs. Currently, I tutor friends and younger cousins, which has given me practical experience working with primary school students. I’m excited to help more students improve their understanding and achieve their academic goals.

Hi, I’m Alex! My approach to tutoring is friendly and patient — I focus on making lessons understandable and enjoyable by breaking down concepts into simple steps. I use examples and practice questions to help students build confidence and reinforce their learning. Typically, lessons last around 45 to 60 minutes, which gives enough time to cover topics without feeling overwhelming.
As a Year 11 student excelling in Advanced Mathematics and English, I understand what younger students are learning and can explain things in a way that makes sense to them. Being closer in age helps me relate better to my students, making the lessons more relaxed and encouraging open questions. I’m currently tutoring friends and younger cousins, so I have experience working with primary school students.
My lessons are designed for primary-aged kids who need support in Maths and English, and I’m happy to tutor at the student’s location to make it convenient and comfortable for them.
