About Victor

Hey! I’m Victor and I’m a Year 13 student at Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle. French is my first language and I’ve taught it since the age of 10. I just got Highest Honours with Jury’s Congratulations on my French baccalaureate (19 written and 18 oral).

I spent the beginning of year 12 in an English school, so I have first hand insight on what the A Level curriculum demands.

Having lived in Geneva and then Singapore, and helped friends from various international schools with French for all sorts of different curricula (GCSE/IB/AP), I’m familiar with, comfortable teaching for those curricula too.

I myself have had private tutors for other subjects, so I understand what a student wants and what would actually help. Most of all it has led me to believe and understand that patience is the most important trait a tutor must have.

Being of similar age to my students has helped me relate to them, and understand what would make learning the language fun and interesting and therefore teach it in a way that school cannot.

About the lesson

- Tailored to student’s curriculum, as well as individual learning style.
- I aim to motivate and interest students by making lessons relatable and interactive rather than just explanations and lecturing.
- As a student myself, I strongly believe that patience is absolutely key to helping students understand.
- Being taught by someone of similar age usually makes students more open and motivated to learn and put in the work.
- 60/90 minutes depending on preference or specific needs
- Lessons are for any GCSE/A-Level/IB students. Or anyone who wants to study French.

Victor was a massive help towards my French GCSE, with his patient communication and his adaptable teaching he helped me get the highest grade I could in French. With his help making the lessons so fun and enjoyable it made me later want to carry it out through my A-levels.
