About Zara

Hi! My name is Zara and I’m currently a Year 11 student. I’m putting in a lot of effort both in and outside of school with the goal of getting into medical school at the end of Year 12. I genuinely love learning and—although I don’t always like to admit it—I actually enjoy studying because it helps me work towards my goals. Even if I don’t end up in medical school, I have many passions and aspirations, so I’m not too stressed. My main goal is to find a career that makes me happy—something that gets me excited to wake up and tackle the day. Outside of school, I’m a huge sports fan! I love all kinds of sports, especially basketball (go Warriors!). In full transparency, I don’t have any formal tutoring or work experience yet. However, I have helped my younger cousins with their homework, and I’ve always enjoyed explaining things and watching them improve. I’d really enjoy being a tutor for younger kids because I understand how intimidating it can be to ask questions or participate in a classroom setting. I can be quite an anxious person myself—so even after 12 years of school, I still have to mentally prepare before asking a question! Because of that, my goal as a tutor is to help build my students’ confidence and make learning feel comfortable, encouraging, and even fun. I want to help them stay on top of their schoolwork, whether that’s through worksheets, short quizzes, creative games, or just having someone to explain things at their pace. My strongest subjects are Biology, English, and Math, and I’m happy to tutor primary school students in any subject they need support with.

As a Year 11 student who enjoys working with kids, I focus on creating a supportive, fun, and encouraging learning environment. My goal is to help younger students feel more confident and capable in their schoolwork. I break down topics into simple steps and explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. I use examples, visuals, and practice questions to help students stay engaged. I would like to make learning interactive whether that’s through games, short quizzes, or creative ways to remember things. My lessons usually would last for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age and focus level. I’m happy to adjust the length to suit what works best for the student and their family. While I’m still in school (currently in Year 11), I have strong results in English, Math, and Science, although I have no professional experience with teaching, I have enjoyed helping family members and friends with their homework/school tasks. I am patient, responsible, and always doing my best to make sure students feel comfortable asking questions. I would like to tutor primary school students (Kindergarten to Year 6) in all subjects. Whether your child needs help catching up, understanding tricky topics, or getting ahead, I can tailor lessons to match their level and learning style.
