About Danielle
Everybody learns in different ways and this is important in my practice. I inform my teaching through up-to-date academic research, my own accurate subject knowledge and realising the importance of meta-cognition - learning how to learn - and how powerful this is in individual learning journeys. I have most recently become a 'covid-catch-up' tutor but have previously taught an inclusive and diverse range of students and pupils for most of my adult life across lots of different schools.

Teaching and learning needs successful models and I base my teaching and learning upon Rosenshine's principals of learning, for example, daily review, retrieval practice, useful and timely feedback, introducing new material in small steps, and guiding student practice with a view to pupils and students practicing independently. The typical length of an effective session could be 30 - 40 mins, dependent on an individual's need.
