About Lila

I am a guitar teacher with over 11 years of experience and a Diploma of Music with a Guitar Specialisation. I have coached students for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. My teaching style is encouraging, focused, and tailored to each student’s goals. I help students develop strong technique, musicality, and confidence on stage. Lessons cover performance skills, improvisation, sight-reading, and creative expression. I emphasise stage presence, tone control, and connecting emotionally with the audience. I encourage creative freedom while guiding students towards musical excellence. Each session blends structured practice with hands-on performance exercises. I provide feedback that is constructive, clear, and motivating. My aim is to help students play with confidence, express themselves authentically, and reach their full potential. Together, we explore music in ways that are challenging, rewarding, and fun.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on making guitar learning creative, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. I teach students from beginners to advanced players, helping them build strong technique and musical understanding. Lessons cover core skills such as chords, scales, improvisation, and sight-reading. I also explore advanced topics like sound design, looping techniques, ambient textures, and experimental guitar methods. These help students expand their musical expression and develop a unique style. Each lesson combines hands-on practice with listening exercises and real-world examples. I guide students to progress at their own pace, providing encouragement and practical strategies to overcome challenges. For those who start later or explore jazz and experimental styles, I provide targeted support to help them excel. Lessons are interactive, including jam sessions, creative exercises, and performance practice. My goal is to help students develop confidence, versatility, and a lifelong passion for guitar. By combining technique, creativity, and exploration, students not only learn to play—they learn to make music their own.
