About Emma
"Starting your first lesson often involves realizing that most technique books ignore the nuances of Latin phrasing. I create custom backing tracks for you so that soloing at home feels like performing with a live band. These lessons pull from my JMC Academy training to ensure your grade exam prep is rigorous and effective.
We focus on physical mechanics to prevent tension while playing. You will find that mastering complex transitions becomes manageable through structured repetition. Playing along with my backing tracks is the most fun part of the week."

"Playing music in Bogotá initially felt like a simple childhood hobby until I realized the guitar required a lifetime of dedication. Most people assume that reading tabs is the only way to succeed, yet true musicality actually starts with understanding the soul of the instrument. I earned my Diploma of Music at JMC Academy after moving to Australia to share these traditions. Over 13 years, I have worked with 450 students ranging from performance-focused players to hobbyists.
My teaching helps advanced learners refine their fingerpicking while grounding beginners in solid chord transitions. I insist on proper reading of sheet music to ensure long-term autonomy.
The process involves consistent practice and patience. Helping others find their voice remains the core of my career. Watching students develop is incredibly rewarding."
