About Evelyn
Honestly, the most enjoyable part of this work is seeing the moment a difficult idea clicks into place. My lessons utilize concept maps for every chapter to ensure you retain the structure of the material while we tackle mensuration or linear algebra. Sometimes it feels strange to admit that I prefer the structure of a difficult equation over almost anything else in my day. Teaching acts as the perfect outlet for that preference while allowing me to utilize my BSc in Actuarial Studies and Mathematics. Over 15 years, I have worked with 331 students ranging from school children to adults in various careers. It is interesting to see how the same principles of logic apply regardless of the age of the person sitting across the screen.
My personal narrative involves helping high achieving Year 11 and 12 students navigate the path toward competitive university placements. I keep things grounded and straightforward because math is hard enough without adding unnecessary layers of complexity. You get a direct, honest connection that focuses entirely on your specific goals.
