About Javier
My fingers still remember the exact tension required to produce a clean, resonant note on the violin. Precision with rhythm and timing creates the bedrock for everything else we achieve together.
Having guided 347 students over 13 years, I emphasize bowing technique and consistent tuning by ear during our early sessions. We also cover grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards alongside shifting positions to navigate the neck with ease. Teaching is about the quiet discipline that turns a scratchy sound into something melodic.

The smell of rosin and the slight resistance of the bow against the string signal the start of our focus. My approach prioritizes the joy of discovery through my background at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. We keep the atmosphere calm while working through complex movements because steady progress matters more than rushing. It feels like a natural conversation between teacher and student, where we troubleshoot difficult passages with 10 different exercises.
