About Joan
Actually, teaching chemistry is a clinical exercise for me. I am a 4th year UNSW medical student who scored a 99 plus ATAR. My 6 years of experience taught me that students often struggle with the same core hurdles.
I hold a BSc Adv Biomed degree. I treat every homework help request like a diagnostic puzzle.
We look at reaction mechanisms and periodic table trends with a cold, systematic eye. I have coached 36 students to higher marks using this framework. My method is very direct. I do not waste time on fluff.

Accuracy in numerical problem solving is the only way to ensure success in high-stakes exams. I offer a free trial class to identify weak areas before we commit to a schedule.
Equation balancing and thermochemistry require rigid adherence to step-by-step logic. We will examine organic chemistry and acids and bases with a focus on conceptual learning.
You will learn to predict outcomes rather than guessing. I expect you to bring your toughest questions to our meetings. It is how I operate.
