About Maddison

I am a dedicated Chess tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience, helping students of all levels grow their skills and confidence. I have successfully taught around 300 students, guiding beginners to learn the basics and supporting advanced players in improving their strategy and performance.

My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can learn and improve with the right support, practice, and mindset. I focus on building strong fundamentals such as board understanding, tactics, and planning, and then gradually move to advanced concepts like openings, middlegame strategy, and endgame techniques. I also help students develop important skills like logical thinking, problem solving, concentration, and decision making.

I believe in clear communication and a student-friendly approach. I make lessons interactive, engaging, and easy to understand. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and enjoy the learning process. Each lesson is tailored to match the student’s level, pace, and goals.

One of my key achievements is successfully training a large number of students with different learning needs and helping them improve steadily. Many of my students have gained confidence, performed better in competitions, and developed a true passion for Chess.

I am committed, patient, and supportive in every session. My goal is not only to teach Chess but also to help students build discipline, confidence, and a winning mindset that benefits them beyond the game.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Chess is simple, structured, and focused on building strong thinking skills. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, practice, and mindset.

I start by understanding each student’s level, goals, and learning pace. For beginners, I focus on basics like piece movement, board control, and simple tactics. For intermediate and advanced students, I teach strategy, openings, middlegame planning, and endgame techniques. I also include related areas like logical thinking, problem solving, pattern recognition, decision making, and time management, which are very important in Chess.

Communication is a key part of my teaching. I explain concepts clearly and encourage students to ask questions and share their ideas. I use examples, puzzles, and real game analysis to make learning interesting and practical.

I am flexible in my teaching style. I adjust lessons based on the student’s progress and needs. Whether a student wants to play casually or prepare for tournaments, I create a plan that suits them.

I teach with integrity and honesty. I give clear feedback and guide students on their strengths and areas to improve. I also believe in accountability, so I track progress regularly and ensure students stay consistent with practice.

Most importantly, I create a positive and supportive environment. I motivate students to enjoy the game, stay confident, and develop a true passion for Chess while improving their skills step by step.
