About Alexandra
I am a teacher who has been working at an Ofsted Outstanding school for 6 years. Teaching is my entire life but there is something special about being able to tutor children one to one. I am able to put my teaching pedagogy to better use and personalise each and every lesson to perfectly suit the student. I have been tutoring alongside teaching for a year already and seeing the almost immediate progress is so rewarding.

As a class teacher of 6 years, I focus on ensuring that each pupil gets exactly what they need from our lessons. By beginning our sessions with an assessment targeted to their year group, I will be able to understand exactly where we need to focus. This assessment will allow me to plan future lessons to best support the pupil's development. Moving forward, each lesson will begin with a mini test (10 mins) to consolidate what we did last lesson and to identify new areas of focus. The one-hour sessions may also end with a mini test to see if the topic we covered during that lesson needs to be continued in the next session.
As a tutor who is here to support children as they approach SATs or 11+, my main goal is to have them test ready. This means a lot of practice papers and SATs styled questions. The goal is to give the children what they need in order to be able to do these tests independently and with confidence.
Every child learns in a different way. My methodology always centres around finding the specific learning style of each student. With time and dedication, I am confident that I can get your child feeling prepared for their exams.
