About Zadie

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 13 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Music. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve goals ranging from personal enjoyment and examination preparation to live performances and advanced musical development.

My teaching philosophy combines patience, adaptability, and individualised instruction. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my methods to suit each learner’s strengths and challenges. This personalised approach keeps students engaged, motivated, and confident as they continue their musical journey.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy composing music, exploring various guitar genres, attending concerts, and studying contemporary performance techniques. These interests allow me to bring fresh ideas and practical musical insights into every lesson, making learning dynamic, inspiring, and enjoyable for students of all ages.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build strong technical skills while developing creativity and confidence as musicians. I teach learners of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners learning their first chords to advanced players refining performance techniques and musical interpretation. Every lesson is personalised to align with the student’s goals, interests, and learning pace.

Students learn essential guitar concepts including chord progressions, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, scales, music theory, improvisation, ear training, and repertoire development. Through structured exercises and practical application, I help students improve coordination, rhythm, accuracy, and overall musicianship while making learning enjoyable and rewarding.

I create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical potential. Lessons focus on consistent growth, artistic expression, and performance confidence, enabling students to achieve meaningful progress and develop a lifelong appreciation for guitar and music.
