About Stephen

I've been a full-time Python educator for over ten years. I taught thousands of students at all levels through live courses and sessions and many more through my writing: The Python Coding Book, a relaxed and friendly beginners' textbook, and articles and tutorials across the web, including on Real Python and The Python Coding Stack.

About the lesson

Is this your first attempt at learning Python or have you tried before? Or are you a self-taught programmer but you're stuck and can't move on?

I believe in making sure you understand what's happening behind the scenes in Python as that's how you can truly grasp the language. You can see my teaching style in my textbook for beginners (thepythoncodingbook.com) and my regular posts at thepythoncodingstack.com.

We'll start by exploring your existing knowledge and any gaps and we'll work together to create a programme so you can master Python and write code confidently.
