About Bill
I am a married grandfather of four who was a math and science professional for 23 years in the excellent Alaska public school district. I have an amiable but serious approach to teaching that expels math confusion and anxiety. I understand and have much patience with all skill levels and personalities, and have a sincere desire to see all my students excell and learn to love math. I prefer knowing what they are working on in school by seeing their homework and tests. This helps a lot in recognizing their, and maybe even the instructors, strengths and weaknesses, however,total discreetness is certainly possible.

I enjoy most focusing on students who are just beginning to transition from Arithmetic to Algebra 1/2 to 1. I am confident that if I can get them early, all the following math will be much easier for them to learn. Building a great foundation with the right tools allows them to experience success in the very beginning. The feeling of success breeds self-confidence, making higher math much easier and more enjoyable.
I respond to the personal needs of each student individually, utilizing personal techniques I have developed over the years along with the same concepts and problem-solving techniques necessary to keep growing in math knowledge and skills. Most critically, my students will RETAIN what they have learned and will be able to conquer each level of math in their future much more easily.

$30.00 each per session single or $25 each for group up to three with 15 minutes time extension included. NO EXTRA CHARGES for questions and assistance between sessions if needed! It would be rare not to be able to reach me during reasonable hours seven days per week. REMOTE or MUTUALLY CONVENIENT LOCATIONS.
