About Heather
I confess that the first time you pick up the guitar, it might feel a bit awkward. I use my own custom backing tracks so you can practice soloing at home with a real band sound behind you. We will cover everything from blues progressions and scales to rhythm guitar and maintenance. Beginners often appreciate how I demystify barre chords early on.
Sometimes I keep things very simple. We can also handle grade exam prep if you are working toward a specific certification. I like to keep the technical stuff grounded in actual music-making.

You might find that learning the guitar feels overwhelming when you try to do it alone, but I am here to simplify the process. Having spent 13 years gigging throughout Montreal, I bring that stage-tested energy into every private meeting. I have taught 156 students ranging from kids to working professionals, always aiming for a chill vibe. My degree in songwriting from McGill University informs the way I break down complex chord transitions or lead guitar techniques.
It is a long journey, but I have seen how quickly people can progress with the right guidance. I am quite confident that we can get you playing the songs you love.
