About Aria
Writing songs feels best when I have a guitar in my hands at 2 AM. I spent 12 years playing acoustic sets in Melbourne bars and these lessons reflect that grounded reality. My BMus Popular Music degree from Queensland Conservatorium provides the theory needed to explain the magic behind the music I play. I have taught 98 students ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players writing their own tracks.
We cover ear training and music theory to ensure you understand why chords work together. My lessons span electric technique, fingerpicking, and power chords to keep your progress moving. You will master blues progressions and lead guitar soloing through structured improvisation. I am just a working musician who wants to share what I have learned over 13 years of gigging.

The room vibrates with the sound of a well maintained electric guitar during our sessions. We spend 9 minutes tuning and checking your setup before jumping into the meat of the music. You will tackle grade exam prep and maintenance with a focus on real world application.
My BMus Popular Music background keeps the theory lessons tied to the songs you actually want to play. I break down complex soloing concepts so they feel intuitive rather than academic. You receive actionable feedback on your fingerpicking and lead lines throughout every single minute of our time.
We keep the rhythm steady and the progress visible. You will walk away with a clear grasp of your instrument.
