About Kimberly
Teaching guitar helps me process the theory I use on stage every night. I admit that I still struggle to sight-read sheet music as quickly as I can improvise a blues solo over a backing track.
My background includes a degree from USyd and 13 years of playing acoustic sets across Melbourne. I work primarily with beginner to intermediate students who want to write their own material.
We cover power chords, scales and modes, and reading tabs. I also teach improvisation and soloing, ear training, lead guitar, and barre chords to broaden your fretboard knowledge. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about your goals.

Students leave my sessions with the ability to navigate the neck with total confidence. 173 students have passed through my studio doors over the years. My goal is to provide a comprehensive roadmap for your growth as a player. I use my experience as a graduate from USyd to bridge the gap between complex theory and actual gigging reality.
Every month, you receive a recorded review of progress to track your technical development. This allows us to see exactly how your technique changes over time. It makes me happy to see students finally nail those tricky barre chords.
