About Colleen
"Graduating with an Artist Diploma in Music Performance gave me the foundation to teach violin with high INTENTION. Standing in front of an orchestra requires a specific set of physical skills that I now share.
I have guided 153.0 students toward musical clarity and refined their technique over two decades. We focus on rhythm and timing alongside ear training for better intonation.
Developing the ability to handle tuning by ear and sight reading is mandatory for my students. Improving your posture and hold ensures comfort when you start shifting positions. Mastering vibrato and orchestral playing is the path toward achieving your musical goals."

"Since you want to sound better, we start by fixing the small details in your technique. It is funny how a minor adjustment to your bow grip changes the entire tone quality. I bring 20.0 years of stage experience into these sessions to ensure your practice remains grounded. We work on the foundational habits that make playing orchestral pieces feel natural and easy.
A monthly progress report shared with parents keeps everyone informed about the specific milestones we reach. This setup helps you track your journey while we focus on the nuances of your intonation. You will find that regular feedback loops make the technical side of the violin feel much more manageable. Please feel free to reach out when you are ready to start our next session."
