About Anna-Lena

I am a Yoga-Teacher trained in Paris, France.
Yoga came into my life almost 10 years ago when I was still a teenager and as I grew up, my passion for it got bigger and bigger. Today I'm traveling around the world, connecting to beautiful souls all around the globe, who share the same passion.
I've been teaching classes in a surfcamp in Costa Rica, in parisian Cafés and had the privilege to teach in my hometown in Germany.
Teaching for me means giving and receiving, I share my knowledge on asanas, anatomy, movement and philosophy, while every students, with their unique needs, bodies and ways of practising gives me the opportunity to learn and grow myself.
I started my own Yoga-Journey practising Ashtanga Yoga, which I love deeply, with it's strict and precise alignment. But just as much as I honour this Yoga-Style, am I passionate about other Styles, such as Yin-Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha-Yoga, Acro-Yoga and Kids-Yoga.
Yoga to me is an art-form. It's meant for everyone. You don't need any kind of experience and it every practitioner will recieve different benefits from it and discover their own bodies and movements in their own ways.

About the lesson

The main intention in my classes is it to bring attention back to the mat... back to the present moment. I teach in a manner that respects diversity, since every student has different needs and objectives. I want to help people learn how to access and understand their mind and body in a way that will help in their daily lives. My classes are challenging, yet focus on a playful interaction with the human body, so every student finds room to discover their own practice. This is a key part of the self-discovery aspect of yoga. I value the ancient philosophy and tradition of yoga, and like to communicate it by integrating modern neuroscience.

My classes incorporate concentration on breath and movement. I teach Hatha and Ashtanga-Yoga classes but I also enjoy teaching Vinyasa-Yoga which further enables me to explore new ideas with a unique creativity.
