About Vicki
Hello, my name is Vicki, and I have been teaching the Indonesian language for nearly 25 years. Teaching Indonesian is not just my profession—it is my life and my passion. Over the years, I have taught students from many nationalities and diverse professional backgrounds, including:
Diplomats
Post-graduate students
CEOs and bankers
Activists and journalists
Housewives and volunteers
Each student came with different goals, learning styles, motivations, and cultural perspectives. This diversity trained me to become highly flexible and responsive as a teacher—adapting my methods and personal teaching style while staying focused on clear learning outcomes.
In every class, my students learn from me—and I learn from them.
My journey began while I was still a university student in Yogyakarta, where I received proper professional training and started teaching at a reputable language school. After graduating, I moved to Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital city, and continued teaching full-time with an intensive schedule—7 days a week, up to 8 hours a day. This experience shaped me into a disciplined, adaptable, and deeply committed language educator.
