About Melvin
Beginners often arrive at my studio feeling quite overwhelmed by the violin. To be frank, I find the learning process demands a level of discipline that many find daunting at first. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
My teaching history spans 13 years of guiding diverse pupils through classical repertoire and technical hurdles. I have supported countless students across my 13 years in the field. I focus on tuning by ear, left hand agility, double stops, and music theory. I am just a teacher who values the work.

Pedagogy is about setting a consistent framework before the music starts. Honestly, the violin is a demanding instrument that requires a strictly structured routine.
I utilize custom scale and etude sheets for each student to ensure technical growth. My lessons provide a solid foundation in the 8.0 standard of performance excellence.
You will find that my background from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music informs every technical correction. I balance grade exam prep with fundamental agility drills to build real results.
I offer 10 stages of technical development that transition from basic posture to complex concert pieces. These sessions are direct. I encourage you to send a message if you want to start.
