I highly recommend Laurence as a French tutor.

Laurence tutored me in improving my conversational French over a four-week period in Montreal in the fall of 2023.

Laurence quickly picked up on my learning style and kept written notes as we worked on conversational French. These notes gave me a study guide each day for review of what we had done and shared. She had us meet at different venues all over Montreal to give us new vistas and histories to talk about in each session. Also, I would write a paragraph or page on a topic of my choosing each night which she would review and correct at the next session.

Laurence is totally bilingual in French and English. As she spoke in French, she would watch my face for indications of comprehension and, when needed, she would back up and repeat either the French or the words in English to give immediate response to what I was not understanding. The needed information would also go into her written notes.

Lawrence was joyous and positive. There was plenty of good laughter. Our interchanges were always fun.

My wife joined the two us after the first week of training. She and Laurence agreed on additional time at the end of my sessions just to have direct conversations in French.
