About Opal
Teaching Spanish keeps me connected to the bustling markets of Guadalajara where I grew up. The scent of fresh cilantro and the rapid cadence of street vendors define my native tongue.
I spent 6 years guiding beginners through their first words and helping heritage speakers sharpen their AP Spanish. My MA in Applied Linguistics from Boston College underpins every correction I provide on pronunciation or accent. I find real joy in helping students master complex idioms and expressions for interviews or reading comprehension. My work focuses on precision in intonation and natural speech patterns.
