About Uncle Bob

With over 40 years of solid experience, my students regard me as a highly skilled classical guitar instructor who has helped numerous students grow musically and personally. My teaching approach combines technical excellence, patient guidance, and proven pedagogical methods—including the Suzuki Method—to create a supportive, structured learning environment. Students can trust they’re in expert hands.

About the lesson

My love for the classical guitar began at the age of 14 and has remained a lifelong source of joy. While I’ve shared performances on YouTube through church events, I’ve generally stayed away from social media. In retirement, my goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, and I’m excited to make that dream a reality. It’s never too late to start learning! For retirees, playing guitar can be a deeply fulfilling way to spend your time. For younger students, all inquiries must be made through a responsible adult.

**Our Mission**
At Uncle Bob Guitar, we aim to inspire musicians of all ages to explore the artistry of classical guitar and beyond. Whether lessons are in-person or online, each session is designed to be engaging, personalized, and enriching. Together, we’ll develop your music-reading skills and cultivate your passion for playing guitar.

Using proven classical guitar techniques, I’ll help you build a solid foundation that can transition seamlessly into any musical genre you’re interested in.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that you’re already seeing such strong progress after just two lessons. That tells me you’re not only practicing, but truly engaging with the music—and that’s where the magic happens.
I’m excited to keep building on your momentum and help you unlock even more confidence and creativity with your playing. Keep showing up with that same enthusiasm, and we’ll make great music together!

Uncle Bob's response
Thank you so much, Will, for your thoughtful review! From the moment I met you, I had a strong feeling that you were a fast learner, and you've certainly proven that to be true. It’s been a joy to see your progress—going from knowing nothing about the guitar to confidently playing chords and songs, also reading in just a few months is truly impressive! I'm thrilled you're enjoying the journey and excited about the music ahead. Keep up the great work, and thank you for letting me be part of it!

I had a lot of bad habits from trying to teach myself guitar from online videos. After starting lessons, I was not only helped with finding a better guitar. He also helped with fixing all my bad habits, learning how to read music, and exercises that now give me hope that I can play guitar. Thank you! I would recommend to anyone.
