About Heila
I have always had a passion for Math and found out in my own Grade 9 year that I can explain the work with ease, helping my friends and family around me to achieve their goals. I have helped multiple students achieve a 30% growth in their Math average, helping them to not fail. I use the method that suits them best, motivating and encouraging them on the way. I try to create a bond with each student, remembering the things they like and dislike and try to incorporate that into my lessons. I believe that you can achieve the marks you want and the things you want to achieve in life, if you put in even the smallest of effort. A little goes a long way. I don't ask a lot of money per hour, simply because I know how expensive classes can be. I want to be able to also assist the people who can't afford lessons that will cost them R200+ an hour, as I know it can be a huge financial burden. Ensuring your child's future and grades, without having to struggle to help them.

I tutor math, in both English and Afrikaans, either virtually or in person, from Grade 5 up to Grade 9. I usually start with the topics my students struggle with the most and help them until they feel confident about the topic, moving on from topic to topic, until every point they struggle with has been touched, before moving on to the rest of the topics, revising what they do in class and doing question papers with them until they achieve the marks they want to achieve. The first free lesson will be to get to know the students' top priorities and topics they struggle with the most, ensuring that I can have a plan set up for the classes they have starting after that. Question papers will be used, as well as notes I have collected via many websites. The student's parent will know what has been done after each session, to reassure them that their money and their child/children's time has not been wasted. Goals will be set with the student of what they want to achieve, as well as a timeline of when they want the goals achieved, to keep them motivated. Lessons can be throughout the week or on weekends! Saturday lessons are still R75, whereas lessons on a Sunday will be R100. Lessons are 1-on-1! I focus on just your child and their needs for 1 hour or more. My "closing" time is 6pm, making it easier for the parents who can't bring their children before 5pm during the week. Virtual lessons can be done over video call via WhatsApp, Zoom, and even Skype.

If a class is not canceled at least an hour before the class starts, there will be a fee of R25. Any cancellations made before that will be free. If a class is canceled after the class has already been started, the fee will be R50. Thank you for your cooperation.
