• 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

  When I was in kindergarten, I was asked by talent coaches visiting my school to sing and repeat some notes - after they sent a letter to my parents with invitation to audition for music school for talented children. That’s how everything started and never stopped until now. I wanted to play piano but they insisted I should study violin because I have a great music ear. I ended up studying both instruments, which required more work but it was worth it. Later on my piano teacher signed me up for voice lessons with her friend, who was opera singer and she taught me for 4 years.

• 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  When I want to relax, I listen to jazz. I don’t have one particular artist I listen to- It all depends on my mood.

• 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  All my students are very different and I need to learn about them and get to know them better before I teach them music. They come to me with different stories, which are always amazing and many times challenging for both of us. Music is fantastic but to get to a profesional level it takes lots of time, sacrifices and patience. It ‘s always difficult to because a musician or a singer but it’s so rewarding once you’re there.

• 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  There is not such a thing like the most complicated instrument. To master any instrument- whether it’s harmonica, trombone, violin or drums it takes many years to learn.

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  Patience, not giving up, hard work and lots of good humor.

• 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  Isaak Perlman- violin genius with lots of sense of humor- I would like to have a conversation with him and talk about music, laugh together and learn some of his violin secrets. Snoop Dog- his music is great and I would like to know more about his life- how he found his way to get where he’s now- I am sure our conversation would be mind blowing. Third musician I would dream to meet is Miles Davis- God bless him. The way he improvised on trumpet was so different and innovative that I am certain he would have lots of great stories to share.

• 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  I remember one time it was winter and there was this small hill next to my school covered with snow. It was so tempting that I decided to slide down using my violin case and I have to say it was so much fun- until I saw director of my school passing by with the funny smile on his face looking straight at me and saying- Oh-now I see what use you have from your violin…

• 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  Firstly I love what I am doing and I put all my heart and soul in passing my music and life knowledge to others. My students are all ages-music is limitless. I wanna make sure that everyone who enters my studio will leave satisfied and happy. This is my trick- to do everything I can to help people achieve their dreams and goals.
