About Deeptimayee
Hi! I’m Deepti. I’m 21 and currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Zoology (Hons.).
I’ve always had a strong interest in creative writing and poetry, and have participated in and won several writing competitions throughout my academic journey. Most recently, I had the opportunity to represent my university at OIUC 2026.
I’m a fairly introverted person, and, ironically, I wasn’t always the most comfortable with science. I know what it’s like to sit with a textbook and struggle to make sense of cell structures, enzymes, or even something as seemingly simple as valency on your own. Even with the internet at your fingertips, there’s only so much you can personalize when all you really want to ask is, “But why?”
That’s one of the reasons I enjoy teaching.
I want students to have a space where they can ask that “why” as many times as they need to. A space where questions aren’t treated as something embarrassing, and where concepts aren’t overcomplicated just for the sake of sounding knowledgeable.
My aim isn’t to prove that I’m exceptionally knowledgeable or worthy of teaching you. It’s to help you realize that you're smart enough to understand these subjects and navigate through them without constantly questioning your own ability.
Because trust me—I’ve been there, done that.

Many students in high school take biology/chemistry as a subject which is complicated and a matter of memorization but it doesn't have to be that way!
I like to begin each topic with a quick overview:
• What is the topic about?
• How much time and effort does it require?
• What are the key subtopics and likely questions?
• How does the examiner approach question-making?
I can teach in English or Hindi, whichever feels more comfortable for the student. As someone who has seen the rigid structures of schools and coaching institutes I aim to create a more friendly and interactive experience among students where doubts and silly questions are welcome without any embarrassment!
