About Folashade
Hola, my name is Folashade, but you can call me Zora! I am a non-native Spanish speaker, who has been learning and studying Spanish since I was five years old. I am conversationally fluent in Spanish and as a freshman high school student, I am currently enrolled in college-level Spanish 2. In addition to speaking Spanish fluently, I love tutoring and working with younger kids. As an older sister, I have learned how to be patient, mature, and helpful. I would love to work with your elementary or middle school student to increase their fluency in Spanish, learn more about Spanish culture, and be just as excited as I am about the language!

My approach to Spanish is to be fun, interactive, and age appropriate. During our lessons, we would focus on letter and word sounds and pronunciation, greetings and introductions, numbers and colors, basic conversational phrases, and learning the days, months, and weather.
Young students can expect to engage in topics about culture of other young children in Spanish-speaking countries, focusing on the alphabet and correct pronunciation, using props and drawings to develop associations between Spanish words and animals. Older students, between the ages of 10 and 12, can expect to learn the basics and more complicated classroom phrases.
Lessons for younger students are 20 to 30 minutes, and older students' lessons are 30 to 45 minutes long. All lessons are offered virtually and on a weekly basis during afterschool and weekend hours.
