About John
Hi, it's John from John Tutoring here. I recently just moved down from Vancouver Canada to LA, and I can't be more stoked to start teaching new students. I am passionate about tutoring students the knowledge that will empower them in the near future. Aside from passion, the record speaks: I have received 5s on six AP exams, gotten a 1570 score on SAT with a perfect math score. Last year, I was honored to receive multiple offer letters from US universities, including Georgetown business, Notre Dame, Colby College (with a ~$30,000 package), and UCLA Computer Science. My past students have gotten acceptance letters from top private high schools (St. Georges, Crofton, Mulgrave) in Vancouver. I am also offering a FREE consultation session to go over the academic history, expectations, and goals.
Some classes were always so frustrating.
I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half.
I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”
So I started tutoring to keep others out of that aggravating, time-sucking cycle. Since then, I’ve helped students in my high school and community—from basic middle school classes to SAT and college calculus — figure out what’s going on, understand the important concepts, and pass their classes, once and for all.
