About Sophie
Hi! My name is Sophie and I recently graduated from Indiana University with a BSPH in Epidemiology with minors in Chinese Language and Public Health, as well as a Certificate of Business Foundations. In the fall, I will be attending Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health to get my MPH in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. This past year, I served with City Year AmeriCorps in an elementary school providing reading and writing support. I'm friendly, encouraging, and like to help my students in any way I can! When I was a high schooler, I also had some tutors to help me through school, so I understand what it's like to be in the position of the tutored. Sometimes learning something new is tough and seems impossible, but it is possible and I want to help you achieve your goals! In my free time, I like to watch funny TV shows (currently plowing my way through Adventure Time), sing, dance, enjoy musicals, cook delicious food, and explore NYC (mostly the restaurants). I also love puzzles/games and knitting, and am currently trying to learn Spanish!
