I teach via PPT, lecture, and I do use a whiteboard to annotate. I encourage my students to take notes being that there are a lot of concepts and formulas you must remember. We will also watch some videos (for example: ionic compound nomenclature examples, chemical reactions, and the importance of H2O in chemistry)
