About Sylvain
I am from the Saint-Etienne region, I did a Physics-Chemistry intensive course at the Claude Fauriel high school then I studied fundamental physics at the University of Paris-Saclay. I specialized in the interactions between light and matter but I preferred to turn to teaching instead of research.
I obtained the agrégation in physics in 2016, and I taught in various middle and high schools for three years (from 2017 to 2020). However, I got tired of having hundreds of students every year, and teaching about 30 students at the same time. Everyone advances at a different pace and under these conditions, there are bound to be some students left by the wayside. It is for these that I decided to create in 2021 "Sylvain the private teacher", in order to follow and help a very limited number of pupils and to offer them ultra-personalized help, adapted to their rhythm and to their specific needs.

Hello,
If math isn't clearer than Chinese,
If you like science but feel like science doesn't like you,
No situation is hopeless, no failure is irreparable. Sometimes you just need a helping hand, like the side-wheels on the bike. To then gain self-confidence and ride on your own.
I offer you in Saint-Etienne, ultra-personalized tutoring in math, physics-chemistry and English. It can be a simple help with homework, or a regular follow-up throughout the year with also help for orientation, or even more intense sessions during the holidays or before an exam.
Professor of National Education (agrégation in physics) since 2017, I decided to go full-time in private lessons to no longer manage hundreds of students each year, but to be able to focus fully on a few, and help them as best as possible.
I adapt to all levels, from middle school to third year of university. The prices are 25 € or 30 € for one hour, depending on the type of formula chosen.
Before starting the actual lessons, I offer a free session of one hour to get to know each other and define the needs.
