About Amy
I'm Amy and I have been guiding yoga classes for over 2 years online. Previous to this I've designed and run courses and workshops for people who've experienced trauma. Through this work I felt called to do my yoga teacher training.
I predominantly teach people who otherwise wouldn't be able to access the yoga that you see in studios because of accessibility, feelings of exclusion or for any other reason. I regularly teach elderly folks in care homes (chair and bed yoga) and also support a range of people in my local area who care deeply about the injustices of the world and would like to ensure that they are taking care of themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and the community around them.
I like to focus on the energy that you'd like to centre e.g. maybe you're feeling very stressed and you'd like to feel at ease. I will find practices and tailor a programme including all elements of yoga to meet this need.
I am always open to feedback. When you work with me see our sessions together as experimentation. There will be some practices that don't work for you and that's okay, we are learning what works for you together. Everything is an invitation and you can withdraw from the practice at any time. I will give plenty of opportunities for you to change your mind. I strive to make the space as comfortable as possible.

Working with me we'll be exploring the full depth of yoga that includes:
- meditation
- mantra (chanting)
- asana (movement)
- pranayama (breath work)
- energy work e.g. with the chakras and more.
Our sessions together will be based on your needs and goals. Maybe you need time to experience deep rest, in that case we will focus on accessing rest. Maybe you'd like to gently move your body while sitting in a chair. Or maybe you'd like to explore the depths of your consciousness.
I use a trauma-informed approach and centre disability justice as well as specifically working with people who think that they can't do yoga. I strive to bring this holistic and magical practice in a way that suits the individual.
If you're interested I can also bring tarot and creative practice into our sessions including journalling.
