About Thimali
Hi, I'm Thimali!
I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Melbourne and have several years of teaching and tutoring experience. I began my teaching career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Melbourne during my second year of PhD studies, and I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in the School of Chemistry. With extensive experience working with students, I have managed classes of over 30 students, helping them achieve their best academic results.
I specialize in tutoring VCE students and have successfully assisted many in transitioning from high school to university-level learning. I’m skilled at simplifying complex chemistry concepts, allowing students to build a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
My tutoring approach is personalized to meet each student's needs, focusing on exam preparation, effective study strategies, and boosting confidence in chemistry. I also work closely with students to enhance their problem solving skills, ensuring they feel prepared and confident as they approach their exams.
