About Anne

I have over 19 years of experience delivering high-quality English lessons across Key stages 3, 4, and 5. I have successfully worked in a range of settings teaching IGCSE and GCSE English and English Literature to students of all abilities. I am a fully qualified ESL teacher with experience delivering ESL lessons to young children, teenagers and adults. I am self-motivated, highly organised, and passionate about my subject. I very quickly form very positive and productive relationships with my students, and I work with them to help them achieve their full potential. I now deliver high quality online and in-person English lessons to students aged 3 to 16 based in the UK and abroad. For many years I have also been an IGCSE and GCSE English and English Literature examiner for the exam boards CIE and AQA. This means that I have in-depth knowledge concerning exactly what the examiners are looking for, and I can prepare my students accordingly. About the lesson

I have over 20 years of experience teaching English and English literature in a range of secondary schools and a very large FE college. I have been a full-time online tutor for the last 3 years. During this time, I have worked with a wide range of students, helping them to fulfil their full potential and achieve their goals, this might be to achieve a particular qualification, become more confident in one area of English, or to improve at a faster rate. I am a calm and patient tutor and I quickly form very positive relationships with my students. I prepare thoroughly for each class, tailoring the resources for each student. Copies of any resources used are emailed to the student afterwards. Do get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Anne originally started working with my son to rebuild confidence after lockdown #1 during which very little of what he handed in was marked. She calmly and kindly continued to support his learning during y10 and 11, helping him to consolidate what he was learning at school and working with him on the elements of the syllabus that were not taught.
