About Oisin

I’m a live performer and student musician teaching beginners in a clear, patient, and encouraging way. I’m classically trained in piano, play trumpet in a national jazz band, and specialize in guitar for pop and rock.

I personalize each lesson to match the student’s learning style, goals, and pace, ensuring the most effective and enjoyable learning experience possible. Lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and musical understanding through practical, engaging instruction.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for beginners who want to learn guitar in a fun, practical way through real songs. Students learn to play music they enjoy while building strong fundamentals like chords, rhythm, and timing.

I focus on confidence, musicality, and learning by ear rather than relying on sheet music or boring drills. Lessons are structured but flexible, personalized to each student’s pace and goals, which is ideal for kids, teens, and beginners who want to enjoy playing from the start.

Oisin has been tutoring my 14 year old boy for a year, and is fantastic to him. He makes each lesson specific to my son's weak areas, and I'm noticing so much improvement! Would recommend Oisin to anyone.

I am happy to recommend Oisin as a guitar tutor. He is patient, reliable, and very good at explaining things in a way that beginner guitarists can understand. My 12 year old child enjoyed the lessons and felt comfortable asking questions, which made learning much more enjoyable. Oisin made progress trackable, and fun for my child. Oisin focused on teaching recognizable songs by ear, rather than sheet music, which was very interesting for me to see.
He was always prepared and communicated clearly about scheduling. I would confidently recommend him to other families looking for a supportive and effective beginner guitar teacher.
