About Darrel
I help adults and mature students turn overwhelm into a manageable next step. You can expect patient, judgement-free mentoring focused on how your tasks, priorities and routines work in practice.
I founded NeuroHub UK to support neurodivergent adults and am Co-Founder of NLX, where my work examines how unclear expectations, overload and working systems affect performance. I have completed the ILM Level 6 Diploma in Leadership and Management; diploma delivery and confirmation of post-nominal entitlement are pending.
We look at where you get stuck and build something simpler around your actual circumstances. My recommendations describe me as patient and thoughtful, with a willingness to challenge assumptions while leaving you in control.
No formal diagnosis is required. This is practical mentoring, not therapy, diagnosis or medical treatment.

Struggling to start a task, organise study or decide what to tackle first? Bring one real problem and we will build a smaller, more workable plan together. This practical online mentoring is for adults, professionals and mature students with ADHD or similar difficulties. No formal diagnosis is required.
In your first paid 60-minute session, we will identify where you get stuck, break the task or week into manageable steps and choose one to three actions to try. You might leave with a study plan, a task-starting routine or a simpler way to organise competing priorities. We test what fits your actual energy and circumstances, then adjust it in later sessions.
The pace is calm and collaborative. You do not need to prepare a perfect explanation or organise everything before asking for help. We can begin with 'I am overwhelmed and do not know where to start.'
To enquire, send me the task or situation you want help with and whether you prefer daytime or evening sessions. The free 30-minute introductory conversation lets us discuss your goal, ask questions and decide whether my approach fits. Personalised planning begins in paid sessions.
This is practical mentoring, not therapy, diagnosis or medical treatment.

I have known Darrel for many years personally and professionally and his passion for supporting neurodivergent people has always been evident
His enthusiasm, knowledge, and genuine commitment to helping others make a real difference.
I have attended several of Darrels sessions and they have been worth every penny. Not only have they had a significant impact on me personally but they have also helped me develop my understanding of AI, enabling me to work more effectively and confidently in my professional role
What sets Darrel apart is his warm, supportive and non judgmental approach. He creates a comfortable environment where people feel understood, valued and empowered to learn and grow
Whether you’re struggling to manage your neurodivergence or trying to navigate the rapidly evolving world of AI, Darrel has a unique ability to make complex topics accessible and practical
He also provides outstanding value for money, delivering high quality support, insight and guidance.
I cannot recommend Darrel highly enough. If you’re considering working with him, give him a try, you won’t be disappointedDarrel has a natural ability to help people look at situations differently and get beyond the surface of a problem.
His approach isn’t about telling someone what they should do or giving them all the answers. Instead, he asks the right questions, challenges assumptions and helps people work through situations for themselves, building confidence in their own decisions along the way.
One of his real strengths is recognising that everyone thinks, communicates and processes information differently. He adapts his approach to the individual rather than expecting the individual to adapt to him, creating an environment that feels supportive, patient and non-judgemental.
He is particularly good at taking situations that feel complicated or overwhelming and breaking them down into something clearer and more manageable. Importantly, he is also willing to challenge someone when needed rather than simply telling them what they want to hear.
I would highly recommend Darrel to anyone looking for an approachable and thoughtful coach who will genuinely listen, challenge their thinking and help them find a way forward that works for them.Darrel is a dedicated and highly organised History teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. His lessons are carefully planned, well-structured, and tailored to each student's needs, making even challenging historical topics clear and engaging.
Students and parents particularly value his detailed feedback, which helps identify strengths, address areas for improvement, and build confidence for exams. With his patient approach and thorough preparation, Darrel creates a supportive learning environment where students can make consistent progress and develop a deeper understanding of History.I'm finding my sessions with Darrel insightful and extremely helpful. He has a great toolkit of strategies and suggestions that can help with situations and challenges that I face as someone neurodiverse. Darrel communicates with empathy and care, and I find it easy to be open and vulnerable with him. Highly recommend Darrel!
