The power of successful communication lies at the heart of my professional life. For over 20 years, I have taught and examined English in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, working online and face-to-face with individuals, companies, universities and schools. Teaching runs closely with my background in professional editing and writing, business communication skills training and public speaking. My wide experience in diverse industry sectors shapes my dynamic approach to successful learning. I now specialise in teaching Advanced English to adults and young adults. My students come from varied professions and academic backgrounds. They approach me at the start because they are frustrated; their intermediate English is not enough! Our focus is on your individual goals and needs. A former British Council IELTS Examiner, I guide learners through IELTS and Trinity tests. The spotlight here is on structured preparation, test practice and clear feedback. As a native UK English-speaker with no regional accent, I work intensively with learners on correct pronunciation, stress and native-speaker intonation.
