About Joel
I am a graduate of the aerospace engineering Ph.D. program at Texas A&M University and have been doing calculus and physics since high school. As a current practicing engineer, I use calculus and physics concepts on a daily basis and understand the importance of mastering the subjects. These subjects can be challenging due to the class sizes at most universities, the way the subjects are taught, and the stresses a normal student faces while trying to succeed in multiple courses at the same time. It is my goal as a tutor to instill confidence in a student and help them succeed at learning, understanding, and retaining concepts.

My tutoring philosophy is simple: patience is key! My lessons are geared towards helping students not only be able to solve a specific homework problem but actually understanding the concepts being covered and being able to apply them to homework, exams, and future coursework. I have tutored mainly undergraduate students in physics (Mechanics and E&M) and Calculus I-III.
