About Wag
With 10 years of experience in teaching and working as a Flute tutor, I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of music. I teach school and college students who want to learn flute from the beginning or improve their existing skills. I believe every student has musical potential, and my responsibility is to help bring out that talent through proper guidance and encouragement.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence while making learning simple and enjoyable. I begin with the basics, including posture, breathing, tone production, finger movements, and rhythm. As students progress, I introduce musical expression, dynamics, articulation, and performance skills. Every lesson is planned according to the student's learning speed, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated.
One of the greatest achievements in my career has been watching students grow into confident performers. Many have successfully played in school functions, cultural events, talent competitions, and personal performances. Their achievements remind me why I chose teaching as my profession.
I strongly believe that learning music also teaches valuable life skills such as patience, focus, discipline, creativity, and self-confidence. I encourage students to practise regularly while enjoying every step of the learning process. Mistakes are treated as opportunities to improve, and I always create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Apart from flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, sight reading, ear training, performance preparation, and basic music fundamentals. I continuously improve my own knowledge to provide better learning experiences for my students. My goal is to inspire every learner to enjoy music, reach their full potential, and develop skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.

My flute teaching methodology is based on understanding each student, adapting lessons to their needs, and maintaining flexibility, collaboration, and positivity throughout the learning process. I focus on building strong fundamentals such as breath control, tone quality, and finger coordination through consistent practice.
I keep my lessons flexible, adjusting them according to the student’s progress. Collaboration is encouraged through open communication and active engagement.
I create a positive and motivating environment where students feel confident to learn and grow. I also teach music theory and rhythm to support overall musical development.
