About Clinton
I am an ADFA Cape Town graduate Majoring in Animation and Scriptwriting. With over a decades worth of experience in the industry, I have worked on 4 seasons of the popular animated show SupaStrikas as a compositor before moving to animating explainer videos for more corporate clients.
I went freelance full time since 2022 and since then I have worked on a variety of projects ranging from animated music videos, multi sports social media animations, corporate work, the first Nama short language animated film and more.
I am a big fan of the free software Blender and Krita which allows anyone with the time and patience to bring their ideas to life.
I love story, animation and cool characters and I would love to help students bring those to life, be that either through animation or comics.

I believe in good foundations. Getting comfortable with the software so more time is spent creating and not wondering where buttons are?
Lessons are fun and engaging with lots of practical methodology used.
My lessons are aimed at complete beginners who love animation and would love to learn the basics of animation in order to create and animate their own characters and stories.
Blender (3D) and Krita(2D) is required. (These are free to use)

-Overview of the 12 Principles of Animation
-Simple timing exercises relating to the 12 Principles spread over many lessons.
-Homework of the above. Practice makes perfect.
-General discussions around good practice, motivation and industry trends.
Important Note!
Animation can be quick to learn but takes time to master. Please dont expect to be animating Pixar, Dreamworks, Blizzard or Anime final style pieces at the end of this course. This is more of a primer covering general principles.
