Every student is different, and a 'one-size-fits-all' classroom often leaves many students in the dark. I will work with your individual strengths and innate ways of understanding to find YOUR path into the subject.
" Two pathways diverged in the wood, and I -I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference".
We can even mix it up! -20 minutes on Biochem, 20 minutes deconstructing Gothic literature, and 20 minutes on your HSC drama IP :-)
I am a Nutrition scientist, researcher, science writer, blogger, actor, singer, Director, pianist and flautist. I have been teaching across these disciplines for over 20 years both privately and within the NSW school system. My cross-disciplinary approach has helped many make sense of complicated theoretical concepts. I am a passionate advocate of 'STEAM' rather than 'STEM' and believe that a blended approach to understanding is key to mastery.
My rate is independent of student level, and is indicative of my training and qualifications. No refunds for cancellations less than 24hrs before the scheduled lesson.

Cath is very open minded about the ways of the world and is always searching for reasons why. Her continued efforts in nutrition shows her tenacity to improve the health of others and the health of the earth itself. Highly recommended.
I have known Catherine for quite a few years now. I have found her to be very giving of her time and extremely clear and concise in her communication.
Catherine received a Dean's Award for as part of her Health Science degree. She is friendly, kind, and a great communicator. Catherine has years of experience teaching Drama and Music and now she's turning her talents towards the Sciences. I highly recommend Catherine as a tutor.
Catherine was one of my students in her undergraduate years. As she progressed through her course, she began to shine and earned distinction and high distinction grades. She was a dedicated student who was committed to do her best. I expect that same character to appear as a teacher.
Her writing style is clear and expressive. In combination, these traits make for a good, sound teacher.
I engaged Catherine on several occasions to run drama workshops at Eskbank House. Her students loved her. She was motivating and enthusiastic. Her lessons were always well planned, and her organised and positive teaching style meant students made steady progress in their skills. Catherine always had a firm handle on her content. She successfully taught all ages from pre kinder to seniors. I highly recommend her as a teacher.
